The lab of SynthImmune PI Michael Platten has published a paper in the journal Nature Reviews Cancer entitled “Regulation of immune checkpoint molecules in cancer immune evasion and therapy”.
In it, the authors examine the regulatory mechanisms governing immune checkpoint molecules in tumor and immune cells and connect these regulatory processes to immune evasion and therapeutic resistance. A more complete understanding of checkpoint expression may increase our chances of extending the benefits of immunotherapies to a much larger fraction of cancer patients.
