The Department of Immunobiochemistry at the Mannheim Institute for Innate Immunoscience (MI3) is looking for a highly motivated researcher to join the Cluster of Excellence SynthImmune project: “Optimizing NK Cell Immunity Against Cancer”.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting, designing, and further developing an exciting project aimed at enhancing the function of natural killer (NK) cells in cancer
- Identifying the functional modules required for high NK cell effector function using cutting-edge large-scale screening technologies, microfluidics, CRISPR screening, and functional assays
- Utilizing synthetic immunology approaches to enhance NK cell functions
- Applying bioinformatic analyses and integrating patient data
- Collaborating within the network and supporting projects in the Department of Immunobiochemistry
Your qualifications include:
- A completed degree with a Ph.D., e.g., in biochemistry, biology, medicine, or related fields
- Research experience in immunology, molecular biology, or bioinformatics is desirable
- Scientific curiosity and a passion for science
- Strong teamwork skills, excellent communication skills, and organizational abilities
